He also has a cut on his head. A scissor cut! Bad trip ung helper namen, she tried to cut his hair, instead, she accidentally cut his skin! Grabe talaga, if you saw how big the wound is in such a small dog, maaawa ka. The worse part of it is, she didn't tell anyone. Nakita nalang namen na malapit na matuyo ung sugat. I don't think she even tried to clean his wound.
Wala na ung helper na un samen, pinaalis na.He also went to the groomer yesterday. Thank you to Miss Ces of Dogbero for personally taking care of Cooper. Atleast he feels much better with less hair (and matts!) even though he has skin infection.
He looks kawawa lang talaga.. :( He's not makulet as he used to, madalas nalang sya tulog. If he's awake, gusto nya lang pakarga or tumabi sa'yo, but hindi nagkukulet..

ReplyDeletehi kristell, i hope cooper is not feeling itchy anymore. para di sya magkamot. i'm sure nag prescribe din si doc nuguit ng anti itch, and soap/ shampoo for cooper's mange. give him vitamins na rin, to boost his body resistance. vits. A and D are good for the skin, you can try cod liver oil, or IN diet. vit C rin, good naman for healing of wounds. check his food din ha. hope he doesn't have known allergies for chicken-based food, kasi pag may skin problem, usually lamb and rice formulation daw ang best.

ReplyDeletethanks for the concern, ms ces. :) yup, doc nuguit prescribed him meds for the itch, medicated soap and a solution for the medicated bath.. he's also been vaccined with a anti-mange, will go back to the vet after 2weeks for the 2nd shot.. he's got vitamins na also, and his food was changed naren.. we put sock on him (as u advised) para hindi nya masugatan ung sarili nya kapag nagkakamot.. katuwa whenhe tries to walk, obvious na hindi xa sanay kc he lifts his paws one by one.. :D hopefully before christmas he'll be much better.. :)

ReplyDeleteyung healthy hair nya i'm sure before christmas should have grown back, in good length and form. magmumukha na sya ulit stuffed toy. yung bald patches due to the mange will take a little bit more time, pero you'll see na small, fine hair growing back before end of december, wag lang nya kamutin sana para mabilis mag heal. buti na lang sa kili kili and right leg part lang yung obvious na walang hair. don't forget to change pala frequently yung beddings nya ha. hay cooper! naghahanap na talaga ng attention and time mo, nagpapa alaga sa yo talaga. =)
