I originally planned to use barbecue sticks as handles, then wrap them in ribbons, but my mom said it wouldn't look nice. We had some leftover balloon sticks, so we used those instead. I had my dad cut them into parts.
Well, here's a few photos of how we made them, and hopefully this would be of help to you, in one way or another. :)
We cut one end of the balloon stick in half, so we can insert it through the bell's handles. We also glued them for better hold. (it was my sister Kaye, who did this part)
While Kaye was doing that, my other sister, Karen, was arranging the flower decor. We intertwined 3 small leaves for every flower. :)
My mom then wraps the ribbon around the balloon stick, and glues the flower onto the bells. Yes, the long red nails are a must. Gives her the creative juices. :P
And... TADA!
We haven't done the other half of the bells because we're going to use blue ribbons for those (which I forgot to buy). But I'm happy anyways with the outcome! :) Took us (or them) less than 2 hours to finish the project. If you want to do it in about the same time, you must have 2 sisters and a very persuasive, creative mom to help you out :) The idea (of the bells) was mine, but the design was all hers. :)P.S. And while they were doing it, I was busy taking photos and eating Stik-O
