Product Review: Hydrating Facial Wash

(Mobile phone is not for sale. It was just used as a sizing comparison)

When I got pregnant, I read about how some chemicals in commercially available facial wash is harmful for the baby. So I stopped using the product I usually buy. Add oil & dirt from my daily commute to the office plus hormones, I had breakouts. I tried a 'milder' product but that didn't help, and I had breakouts until after I gave birth. Post-pregnancy, I then tried again my usual facial wash (since baby is out anyways), but my skin just didn't respond well, and then, more breakouts. That is until I tried Human Heart Nature's (or HHN, for short) facial wash. I only bought the 50ml bottle because I wanted to give it a try. For the first 2 days, my face was itchy, though it's not something that I can't tolerate and alarmed about. On the 3rd day, ah! Results! No more itchiness and my face doesn't feel dry at all. I used up the rest of the bottle, and I didn't have any breakouts anymore. The itchiness also went away completely. I was actually thinking that the 'itchy' feeling was probably 'chemical withdrawal' from the commercial facial wash that I used.

So if you're thinking of changing facial wash & wants to go organic, try this. And oh! Did you know that Moringa, one of the main ingredients of this facial wash, is actually our local malunggay? :)

As with most organic products, HHN's hydrating facial wash doesn't have a strong scent, is not 'foamy', and is not good at removing make-up.

* Disclaimer: As I did my research, not everyone's skin is OK with organic products. So as with all products that you want to try, buy the smallest bottle first, so if in case it didn't work out for you the way it did for me, you wouldn't cry for shelling a big amount on something that didn't give you the result/s you want. Also, you may report the negative result you got from HHN's Customer Service at this site. Their CSRs will be more than willing to get back to you as soon as they can. (and they're really helpful, I promise).
